Morning High
03:01
|
|||
Sparrow in the sky, learn to fly away.
Your summer’s left to die, better hide away.
That sparkle in your eye tried to fade away.
Save your tears to cry for another day.
In your morning high, you need to get away.
Leave it all behind, you’re going far away.
The valley is in your mind, begging you to stay,
Praying for a time, lost to yesterday.

Summer of Love
02:58
|
|||
Been a long and lonely summer.
Been a lot of storms to come my way.
At the end of the day, I’m breaking away
From the times that I’ve been taking it harder.
There’s so many leaves the wind could blow,
But our love will grow in the afterglow.
I wanted to know, but where does the time go,
When you’ve ruined your costume before the show?
Our love is just so anecdotal.
I think that we have found a perfect cure,
But I wasn’t sure who needed it more.
I smile all the while
Waiting for summer leaves to learn the autumn shade,
For the music we played was a masquerade.
I shouldn’t have stayed, but I’m afraid that my bed’s made,
And the news had to break too little, too late.
In you, I hadn’t a clue what it would come to,
But what am I to do when the summer is through?

Ease My Mind
03:43
|
|||
I’ve been lying around, and feel like painting the town, nobody bringing me down.
Going out for the night to have a lime in the light and feeling far out of sight.
And suddenly, my identity is not so easy to find.
So naturally,
I’ve got to ease my mind.
In isolation, everything is fine.
What elation, knowing what is mine.
Affirmation; gotta ease my mind.
Elevation; gotta ease my mind.
It was a hell of a chore to step outside of the door, I nearly fell to floor.
So many critical eyes that all materialize and make it hard to arise.
And suddenly, my identity is not so easy to find.
So naturally,
I’ve got to ease my mind.
In isolation, everything is fine.
What elation, knowing what is mine.
Affirmation; gotta ease my mind.
Cerebration; gotta ease my mind.
Conversation; I’ve gotta ease my mind.
Elevation; gotta ease my mind.
Validation; I’ve gotta ease my mind.
Penetration; I’ve just gotta…

Flowers in the Sand
02:40
|
|||
So, paradise to you is running toward the sun,
With opalescent dreams of sharing smiles with everyone?
If only love were so simple.
I want to paint a picture with the sound,
And mark the hearts of those whose dreams have yet been found.
I’ve seen the sunshine blooming flowers in the sand,
A far cry from the days when I would want to hold your hand.
How long will it take ‘til I shatter?
And if I did, would it matter much to you?
Would rainbows on the drywall brighten up the tune for you?
I’ve given all I can to let you hear my voice,
But bound am I to dream, as if I ever had a choice.
The flowers are known for dying,
And all I do is cry over you.
You smiled and lit the spark, but never followed through.
I guess it’s true.

The World Will Turn
04:03
|
|||
Took my heart for a ride for a moment in time.
The journey’s destination: where the spirits in the sky,
and I’m not afraid to fly.
The sun shines whether you feel fine or you find your mind entangled in bind,
And the world will turn without you, so just give it another try.
Found the light in the dark, kept it locked inside a cage.
A gleam of radiation. But the war will always wage
in the dawning of a new age.
The sun shines whether you feel fine or you find your mind entangled in bind,
And the world will turn without you.

Watercolor Fairytale
03:27
|
|||
“Just another fairytale day in my world”, she sighs,
Rolling down the windows in her eyes.
Nothing ever stayed the same for her, and she’s barely hanging on
To a love that’s gone.
Did it mean a thing to her?
Could she ever be sure?
Running ‘round and around in the town that was all but new.
Looking out to the crowd for the girl that she once knew.
Her dreams are wonderful watercolor scenes,
Floating down kaleidoscopic streams.
A colorful carousel of the world she leaves, still trying to hold on
To a love that’s gone.
She’s a kite who was born to fly,
If she gave it a try.
Running ‘round and around in the town that was all but new.
Looking out to the crowd for the girl that she once knew.

You wake up in the evening with an aching head.
Remember, things were better when you spent the day in bed.
It’s better left unsaid.
Everybody’s blowing up your telephone,
Some knocking on the door, but you pretend that nobody’s home.
You think you’re all alone.
And though you cry, you try to keep it all inside.
Let everybody wonder why.
You’re hanging on to every little ounce of pain,
Cause you’re afraid that you might not feel anything again.
It’s your old friend.
You smile in the mirror just to learn the trade.
You keep that empty feeling that you carry in the shade.
Don’t let it fade away.
And though you cry, you try to keep it all inside.
But you’ve got nothing left to hide.

Stargazer's Lament
03:14
|
|||
I wonder what it’s like to be in the midnight sky,
As I peer into eternity with my lonely eyes.
The fantasy seems more real to me.
I always wonder what I’m worth when it’s late at night.
Is there anything for me on Earth that could set me right?
Oh, gravity, what have you done for me?
I remember Jupiter.

Ode to Jupiter
03:08
|
|||
Jupiter, your wind, it blows my mind
The spirals of breathless air, coiling inwards,
Weaving its own shell to protect the storm from breaking free.
The echoes of thunder chime forcefully,
Reverberating into itself, an infinite crescendo, deafening the sky.
A crimson cluster where tempests of yesterday forge tomorrow’s turbulence,
Always stuck in the same spot.
When I dream at night, I see you as big as you were,
But I grew up and realized that you and I are both stars in the sky.
And in time, stars die, and life spirals rebelliously,
As the infinite storm that violently roars reflections from the dark.
|
||||
12. |
||||
Every day, I watch the sun go down
Just to come back around.
Locked away, in the same old town,
But I’ve never felt so far from the ground.
I’d like to see you try to bring me down.
For today, I liberate my mind
From the common design.
Yesterday, I seemed to be so blind,
That the clouds in the sky would realign
With the clouds that obscured my mind.
But I know tomorrow is calling my name,
And that morning high won’t feel the same.
It’s gonna take some time to heal the pain,
To clear the rain.

I Still Love You
02:33
|
|||
We cried the first time that our love died,
Even though we tried,
We tried to keep it all inside.
After all, there’s nothing left to hide
Long as you know that I still love you,
Then I think we both will be just fine.
Though all the summer leaves have died,
Don’t you cry,
There’s still a sparkle in your eye.
After all, you’re still the one in mine.
Long as you know that I still love you,
Then I think we both will be just fine.

Supernova of Dawn
05:46
|
|||
In the age of boundless creation, in meditation of love.
Lay your head down, take in the blue sky, raveling so high above.
See the people bearing their heather, coming together as one.
A new era born into chroma, a supernova of dawn.
Ever present, formless, and changing; somehow estranging and clear.
Feel the power slowly unwinding and somehow finding you here.
Join the people coming together, sharing the weather as one.
A new era born into chroma, a supernova of dawn.
